About the Manga Demon Slayer
Koyoharu Gotge’s popular manga series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is written and drawn by him. From February 15, 2016, to May 18, 2020, it was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine. Tanjir Kamado, a young kid, becomes a demon hunter when his family is brutally assaulted by demons and his younger sister Nezuko is changed into a demon herself in the series. In order to transform Nezuko back into a human, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps, a group committed to killing demons and preserving humans. As of September 2021, the series has been compiled into 23 volumes.
The series has spawned an anime television series as well as multiple feature films, and it has become a cultural phenomenon in Japan. It is well-known for its high-quality artwork, powerful action scenes, well-developed characters, and emotional storyline. The title translates directly as “Blade of Demon Destruction.” Tanjiro Kamado, a young kid, becomes a demon hunter when the demons that attack his family turn his younger sister Nezuko into a monster. This occurrence sets the tone for the remainder of the novel. The manga has been collected into 21 volumes as of July 2020, after being originally published in February 2016 and continuing through May 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga is published in English by Viz Media; however, Shueisha distributes it in Spanish and English simultaneously with its release in Japan through their Manga Plus platform.
The original manga has been adapted into an anime series that will air from April to September 2019 on Ufotable. During the series’ last episode, it was confirmed that a sequel feature film will be released in October of 2020.
The manga has a cumulative circulation of over 80 million copies, including its digital version, as of May 2020, making it one of the most popular manga series. Meanwhile, the anime series has received a lot of awards and is regarded as one of the best made in the 2010s.
Story of the Demon Slayer
Tanjiro Kamado is a little boy with a nice heart and a smart intellect who lives with his family and earns money by selling charcoal during Japan’s Taisho period. The plot is set in Japan. Everything changes when demons attack and murder his family. His family is in danger (oni). Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the disaster; unfortunately, Nezuko has now converted into a demon, although displaying human feelings and intellect. Tanjiro is the only one who has survived. Following that, Tanjiro changes himself into a demon hunter in the hopes of returning Nezuko to her human form and preventing others from going through the same ordeal that he and his sister did.
